ALDRIN SKATE NIGHT TIPS
- Wear a helmet (bike, ski, or hockey), and make sure it is snug. SkateQuest does not provide helmets, you need to provide your own.
- There will be many skaters on the ice. If your skater is new or uncomfortable on the ice, they should be accompanied by a parent on the ice.
- SkateQuest does NOT provide or allow walkers, cones, or other devices to assist skaters on the ice.
- Dress in layers. Wear gloves or mittens.
- Skaters should skate around the rink in a counterclockwise direction.
- Beginner skaters should leave room around themselves so that if they fall they do not take down the skaters around them, or hit anyone with a blade when they go down.
- When you fall, get up quickly (get on your knees first, put one knee up, and use your hands to push off the ice or your knee to get up).
- Tie the skates snugly and tie them up to the top. They should be stiff enough to offer the skater support.
