Alternate Paths to Licensure – iTeach

iTeach was approved as a pathway to licensure by the Virginia Board of Education last fall and offers a streamlined and cost-effective program that will result in full licensure in about 18 months. For qualified FCPS staff, such as Teacher Trainees, who need provisional licensure in K-12 Specialty, 7-12 Content, Special Education, or Elementary Education, the iTEACH program provides all preparation materials to assist you with passing your subject area PRAXIS, followed by the professional studies courses required for full licensure. All that is needed to qualify is a Bachelor’s degree and a desire to enter the teaching profession. Learn more about iTEACH using this link. iTEACH in Virginia
