September 11 - Commemoration/Patriot Day
With the upcoming 23rd anniversary of September 11, FCPS acknowledges the loss of life, the heroism of our first responders, and the resilience of our country. The September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, also called Patriot Day, is a chance to reflect and act in service to others to honor those who were injured or killed in the terrorist attacks.
All FCPS students are encouraged to participate in service learning as it supports Portrait of a Graduate (POG) attributes and social and emotional learning (SEL) skills. Middle and high school students can learn more about service learning by logging into their Naviance account to access x2VOL.

1 de Septiembre, FCPS reconoce la pérdida de vidas, el heroísmo de nuestros primeros en responder, y la resistencia de nuestro país. El Día Nacional de Servicio y Conmemoración del 11 de Septiembre, también llamado Día del Patriota, es una oportunidad para reflexionar y actuar en servicio a otros como una manera de honrar a aquellos que fueron heridos o muertos en los ataques terroristas.
Se les anima a todos los estudiantes de FCPS a participar en el aprendizaje de servicio ya que también apoya los atributos del Retrato de un Graduado (POG) y las habilidades de aprendizaje social y emocional (SEL). Los estudiantes de escuela intermedia y secundaria pueden encontrar más información sobre aprendizaje de servicio entrando a su cuenta Naviance para acceder a x2VOL.

9/11 참사 22주기를 맞아 FCPS는 희생자, 영웅적인 응급 구조대원, 그리고 미국의 회복력(resilience)을 기리고자 합니다. 애국자의 날(Patriot Day)이라고도 불리는 9월 11일 전국 봉사 및 추모의 날은 테러 공격으로 다치거나 죽은 사람들을 기리는 방법으로 그분들을 생각하며 봉사를 실천할 수 있는 기회입니다.
봉사 학습은 졸업생 자화상(POG) 덕목 및 사회-정서적 학습(SEL) 기술 향상에도 도움이 되므로 모든 FCPS 학생은 봉사 학습에 참여하도록 권장합니다. 중고등학생은 Naviance 계정에 로그인하여 x2VOL에 접속을 통해 봉사 학습에 대해 자세히 알아보세요. 올가을에는 두 가지 좋은 기회로 시작해 보세요: 공공 토지의 날(Public Lands Day 9월 23일)과 페어팩스 자원봉사자 축제(Volunteer Fairfax’s VolunteerFest 10월 21일)가 바로 그것입니다. Volunteer Fairfax를 통한 특정 봉사 프로젝트 및 장소에 대한 정보는 여기에서 확인할 수 있습니다.
