End of Year SMARTR Outcome: Math
100% of K-6 classroom teachers will incorporate Number Sense activities into math lessons at least three times per week, with one of those activities to be a Number Talk.
Professional Development will continue for teachers, including resource selection and virtual application.
- Teachers will use the revised Math Planning and Pacing Guide (PPG), including the embedded Number Talk Activities, in order to support any gaps in student learning.
End of Year SMARTR Outcome: Writing
Language Arts. 100% of students in grades K-6 will increase from baseline data score to Expected or Extended on the FCPS Writing Rubrics for Composition and Written Expression in SY 2020-2021. Students who begin the year with a score of Extended will use the next grade level’s rubric.
- Teachers will use Being A Writer as a resource to implement FCPS writing instruction from the revised Language Arts Planning and Pacing Guide (PPG) in order to support any gaps in student learning.
- Students will write across the curriculum (Portrait of a Graduate - communication).
End of Year SMARTR Outcome: AAP Lessons

Advanced Academics Programs. The percent of classrooms where students receive instructional experiences using the AAP curriculum will increase from 78% to 100% in SY 2020-2021
- Teachers will implement AAP lessons at least 4 times during the school year in grades K-6.
Every student will have access to Advanced Academic Curriculum.
